We started Handpicked to give people a trusted source of unusual and inspiring gift ideas. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing a present well received and it's our mission to make that simple. Our Expert Panel make sure we stay on track but we hope, with our blog, we'll hear more from you too. Comment away!

One of our favourite brands of smellies is Abahna. Lucky then that we stock a fair amount of their produce. Now, we believe very strongly that every product that we stock not only has to make it through our ruthless panel of expert trendsetters and journalists, but we like to test as much of what we sell as possible. This very serious and thorough investigation took the form of a bath with beautiful smellies in beautiful packaging.
At the moment we have the Grapefruit and May Chang scent of a variety of different things. The candle and the bath oil are a couple of our favourites.

We’re hoping to introduce a new scent probably at Christmas time. We like the look and smell of this pretty pink one which is Frangipani and Orange Blossom scented. What do you think? Do let us know.

This weekend sees the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park. We'll be popping in during our lunch break because its just round the corner from Handpicked towers. There'll be lots to see and has the added bonus of being a low risk gamble for art lovers with prices starting from £50.
A Pot of Love & Kisses seems to go a long way to making someone’s day. No poetry intended. I sent a Handpicked parcel with said pot of jelly sweeties with a gift message for no reason other than to thank a great friend for being great. And I couldn’t have got a sweeter reaction back – it seemed that the element of surprise, gorgeous Hope & Greenwood packaging and oh so yummy sweets was a winning combo. Lovely.

Maybe its because I finally paid a trip to the library over the weekend to beg forgiveness for very overdue books, but my reading phase has definitely been reawakened. Where better to start than The Times 100 Best Books of the Decade. Click here.
